Moon Called – Patricia Briggs (Review)

While I usually review books that I enjoy, that is not the case with the book Moon Called, by Patricia Briggs. Sorry, chica.
The writing is trite. There’s no character development. There’s actually no real description of the main character at all. Even though this is the first book in the series, you’re thrown into the middle of a world with no explanations, no back story, and no description. The action scenes are so short that you don’t really even know what’s going on before it’s done. The characters’ motives make no sense.

It’s possible that, as the series progresses, the books get better – but I doubt it. If you’re in the mood for some good urban fantasy, go look up Jim Butcher, Kim Harrison or Charlaine Harris.
