Favicons

What is a FavIcon, you ask?

I honestly wondered the exact same thing when I first heard of the assignment. Have you ever bookmarked a website and noticed that, on future visits to the site, there is a small image to the left of the url in your browser that corresponds to the site in some way? Yep, that’s a FavIcon. It’s a small icon (16×16 .ico file) that shows on favored websites. I decided to do icons for the main countries that speak English, French, and Spanish for multilingual versions of the same site. The very tiny images on the second row are the FavIcons themselves, but I decided to resize them larger for viewing on my portfolio. They were all created from scratch in Photoshop, based on a visual reference of the actual flags.
